Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker
Psalm 95:6 NIV
Borderview Christian Church is an encouraging and praiseful congregation. Opportunity to participate in worship has been encouraged for decades for all who wish to be involved. Several areas of involvement are available:
- Worship Coordination Ministry Team: Team members meet quarterly to assign planning duties to the various worship services. They are responsible for the organization of hymns and praise songs to create a blended worship service. Special music is also coordinated for each service. Music is prepared for the praise team and band for rehearsals each Wednesday at 8:00 pm. following midweek Bible study.
- Worship Team and Band: Borderview has a splendid praise band with a variety of instrumentation including drums, bass guitar, acoustic guitar, keyboard, grand piano, organ, violin, alto saxophone, and flute. Weekly rehearsals on Wednesdays are essential to adequately prepare the service music. Anyone who would like to join in are encouraged to attend a rehearsal. The vocal leads are 3-4 individuals who enjoy leading hearts in worship and guide the congregation toward the Lord.
- Adult Choir Ministry: The Borderview choir has a long history of active service, providing 3 musicals each year (Easter, Patriotic, and Christmas) for the last 40 years. They also provide beautiful anthems at least monthly special music during morning worship. There is no audition requirement, other than just enjoying the choral process. They meet weekly on Sundays at 4:45 pm.
- Sound Ministry: The church utilizes a Behringer X32 digital sound board to control the audio in the worship service. This ministry is always needing individuals who either already understand sound control or would wish to learn.
- Video Projection Ministry: Individuals are needed who will advance the worship during services. These folks must concentrate carefully to ensure that the slides are available at the right times.
- Video Streaming Ministry: This is our newest worship ministry, prompted by the COVID19 pandemic. Robotically controlled cameras allow us to mix the worship content to our internet audience using Facebook Live. This ministry is a future necessity and more team members will be required.
